Fundrr, the local fintech firm that funds SMEs, has been recognised by the CorporateWire Prestige Awards. This after being nominated by readers and contributors to the Corporate Livewire publication who put forward companies, products, services and individuals who they feel are deserving of recognition. The Judges were impressed with the fintech provider’s personal touch, consistency of reviews and overall attentiveness and awarded Fundrr the SME Finance Company of The Year Award.

The CorporateWire Prestige Awards celebrates small and medium-sized enterprises consisting of localised businesses and sole traders that have thrived in their highly competitive community and have proven their success during the past 12 months.

“This is a major feather in our cap, and we are extremely honoured to have been acknowledged by the international Prestige Awards,” comments Idan Jaan, co-founder of Fundrr.

Jaan continues to say that Fundrr’s focus is on delivering a transparent, flexible and quick service. “We have no hidden fees and are upfront with all associated costs. And when an SME applies for finance it is approved within 24 hours.”

Since inception in June 2018, the company has provided funding to many businesses through an online channel that allows business owners instant access to (working) capital. These businesses are predominantly within the food, retail, tourism, manufacturing, supermarkets, automotive, medical, health, beauty, accounting, entertainment, childcare and construction industries. In August of this year, Fundrr also ventured into a partnership with Telkom Financial Services, providing working capital to its growing list of services.

Fundrr’s collaboration with its clients during the Covid-19 pandemic also put it in good stead. “We gave payment holidays to 90% of our client base as most of them were unable to operate. During the past few months we also focused on improving our online application experience to all existing and new customers,” comments Jaan.

Says Rocky Singh, Project Manager from the Awards, “The Prestige Awards affords us the opportunity to recognise businesses that provide a personal approach towards their customers to maintain a high-quality level of service and experience.

“Winners were chosen on marketing and branding, business growth methods, customer experience, and approach to new ideas. The Awards also allows businesses to celebrate their achievements within the business community throughout their region.”

Fundrr will be officially recognised by the CorporateLiveWire South African Prestige Awards in February 2020 in London.
